How does it square up to the competition?
Since the beginning, Ares has been a superior file sharing client to many, and there are many key elements which have broadened the spectrum over the years. The network infrastructure was batted of a proprietary base, making it unique and difficult to identify on restricted Internet connections. In other words, the software is highly likely to work behind firewalls and school/workplaces, as opposed to some of the more well known Gnutella network, which is usually able to be picked up and blocked immediately. The network is healthier in general, and much more content rich and diversified. You just need to try it and decide for yourself!
